Class Booking Policy

We want to ensure every student has the best experience at our studio! Here are our guidelines for booking classes:

  • Booking Options: Students can book classes in advance (recommended) or drop in. For busy classes, we strongly encourage advance booking. Any students who drop in and are on the waiting list will be given priority.

  • Arrival Time: Arrive at least 5 minutes before class start time. For first-time visitors, arriving earlier ensures we have time to introduce you to our space, teacher and have a great class!

Class Size: Each class has a cap. If the class reaches capacity, only pre-booked students will be admitted.

You can book classes up to 7 days in advance.

  • If you have not checked in 5 minutes before the class starts, your spot may be given to a waitlisted student.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancel your booking 5 hours or more before the class starts to retain your class credit.

  • Cancellations made within the 5-hour window result in a lost class credit,  Unlimited members (including the intro offer) will be charged an $8 + tax Late Cancel Fee.

Modifying your Practice

We encourage all students to approach their practice in a way that feels safe, accessible, and beneficial for their unique needs. Here are some guidelines for modifying your practice:

  • Support and Props: Feel free to use props like blocks, straps, or bolsters to support your practice. Our instructors are available to offer guidance if needed.

  • Injuries and Health Conditions: If you’re recovering from an injury or managing a health condition, let your instructor know before class starts. They can suggest modifications to help you stay safe and comfortable.

  • Skill Levels: Students of all levels are welcome! Modify poses to suit your skill level and work at your own pace.

  • Minimizing Disruption: If you plan to heavily modify your practice, we kindly ask that you position your mat near the rear of the room. This helps maintain focus for other students.

Your practice is your own, and we’re here to support you every step of the way. If you have questions, don’t hesitate to ask an instructor!

Studio Kids and Pets Policy

We understand the difficulty of balancing life and practice, and want to create a welcoming environment for everyone.

Kids in the Studio:

  • Children are welcome to stay in the lobby while parents practice, provided that  children can entertain themselves quietly and safely without disrupting studio operations.

  • Parents practicing with children in the lobby are asked to set up their mats near the hot room doors and ensure their child(ren) remain nearby (on the benches at the hot room doors) for easy monitoring. Then if parents need to leave the room to support their children they can do so without disrupting the class.

  • Activities like homework, reading, drawing, quiet games or media with headphones are encouraged. Please note that the front desk staff is unable to monitor or entertain children during this time.

Pets in the Studio:

  • While we adore pet visits, we cannot allow students’ pets in the studio. This policy helps us maintain health, safety, and comfort for all members.

  • On occasions, staff members may have pets in the studio, but these pets have been preapproved by management.

We appreciate your understanding as we work to keep the studio a serene and welcoming space for all.

Practicing While Pregnant Policy

Yoga can be a wonderful way to stay active and relaxed during pregnancy, but safety and comfort are our top priorities.

  • Healthcare Consultation Required: All pregnant students are required to consult with their healthcare provider before practicing in the hot room. It’s essential to fully understand the potential risks, concerns, and benefits of hot yoga during pregnancy.

  • Informing Instructors: Students must inform their instructor of their pregnancy before class begins. This allows instructors to provide guidance and recommend modifications.

  • Instructor Support: While our instructors strive to offer support, they may not always be able to provide complete, tailored guidance during class. If you have specific concerns or questions, please address them with the instructor before class.

  • Modifications and Listening to Your Body: Pregnant students are required to take all suggested modifications and listen carefully to their bodies. Avoid overexertion, and know that it’s always okay to take a break or slow down as needed.

  • It is not recommended that women who have NOT been practicing Hot Yoga prior to becoming pregnant start practicing after they have become pregnant. Women practicing Hot Yoga previous to getting pregnant may continue to practice.

  • For women starting yoga we recommend warm or room temperature classes only: VINYIN, YIN, NIDRA, and UNPLUG as well as going to classes with instructors who would be able to offer modifications. Instructors who are able to offer modifications are Jessy, Effie or Meghan.

  • Heat and circulation changes in pregnant women cause them to feel uncomfortable or dizzy in the heat. It is recommended that pregnant women practicing hot yoga stay tuned into their body, take rest throughout the class whenever they need it.

  • There is a worksheet with modification options and illustrations in the filing cabinet. We can share these with our clients (get them to take pictures) to offer some suggestions for modifications.

  • Ideally pregnant women book a private session (approximately $120-150)  to get one on one support and learn modification and about things they should not do while they are pregnant.

We encourage pregnant students to explore gentle yoga practices and prioritize their comfort and well-being at all times. If you’re ever unsure or uncomfortable during class, rest and rejoin when ready.

Youth (under 18) Practice Policy

We welcome students of all ages, but there are a few guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for younger practitioners.

  • Age Requirement and Parental Permission: Youth under 18 years old are required to have parental permission before practicing in the studio.

  • Class Recommendations:

    • For children under 12, we generally recommend avoiding the Hot classes (ie. anything other than, Yin, Yoga Nidra, and Unplug classes) as they are not likely to have fully developed sweat glands.

    • Youth aged 12 and older may enjoy our Flow, Pilates, and Yin classes. Older youth may find the Hot classes a great fit, depending on their personal maturity and physical ability.

  • Focus and Behavior: Parents should consider their child’s ability to focus and remain quiet during class. For more energetic children, Pilates may be an excellent choice, while quiet classes like Yoga Nidra may not be recommended.

  • Parental Consent: All minors must have parental consent before attending classes. While supervision is not required for older youth, parents should ensure their child is mature enough to attend class on their own.

  • Hot Room Preparation:

    • Younger students should be reminded that they can leave the room and rest on the benches in front of the room if needed.

    • Hydration is key—please ensure that youth bring a water bottle to class.

    • If they feel dizzy or unwell, they should sit or lie down and let the instructor know.

We aim to provide a welcoming environment for youth, allowing them to practice safely while gaining the benefits of yoga. If you're unsure which class is best for your child, feel free to ask our front desk staff for guidance.

Changeroom Policy

We aim to keep our studio comfortable and welcoming for all, and the changerooms are no exception! Here are a few guidelines to help us maintain a clean and respectful environment for everyone.

  • Tidiness: Please help us maintain a tidy space by using the hooks and lockers provided for your belongings, clean up after yourself, and use the bins provided for waste.

  • Changeroom Access:

    • We offer separate changerooms for men and women, and a separate single-stalled washroom/shower upon request (staff washroom) for those uncomfortable with using the men or women’s changeroom.

    • Changerooms are available 15 minutes before and after class. To allow for cleaning and maintenance, please do not arrive earlier or stay later than this window.

    • If you have any questions or require more information regarding our changeroom policy, we encourage guests to call or email us in advance of visiting.

  • Lockers and Amenities: Small lockers are available for storing valuables such as wallets, phones, jewelry, or glasses. Please note these lockers are for temporary use during class only. Unfortunately, we do not have space to store personal belongings or equipment (ie. mats).

  • No Selfies in the Changeroom: Zero tolerance policy.

Respecting the Space: We ask that you be mindful of others in the changerooms by keeping noise levels to a minimum and being considerate of their privacy.
