THE ROLE
The Assistant Manager is an essential part of the leadership team and is responsible for ensuring the studio runs smoothly and successfully.
As Assistant Manager you will be responsible for leading, overseeing, supporting & developing the front desk team and energy exchange team. Ensuring your team delivers outstanding guest experiences in line with company values. You are integral in managing the “day to day” needs and happenings in the studio, ensuring it is a clean, functioning and “on brand” space for all our guests to enter. You assist the front desk with any tasks or client issues they are not able to address themselves. You are part of management meetings and assist the studio manager with event support and execution. You help create an environment and team culture where people feel a deep sense of belonging and have the opportunity to grow.
RESPONSIBILITIES
meets weekly with management team
works with management team to understand company strategy/vision and implements in the day to day and in with teams.
responsible for managing and supporting front desk & energy exchange teams
assists in recruiting & hiring process
onboards and trains new team members
schedules front desk and EE teams and delegates any special duties
supports ongoing learning and development of team members by providing feedback, coaching and mentoring check ins.
leads performance management activities like team acknowledgement and rewards, managing performance documentation and addresses performance concerns.
conducts performance reviews
identifies areas for professional development within teams
assists in planning and execution of professional development for teams
reviews “daily reports” and resolves any escalated issues
manages studio inventory & supplies
maintains and maximizes technology & facilities
problem solves tech & facility issues
you are integral in supporting the management team with planning and execution of studio events (things like challenges, open houses, etc)
RESULTS
All areas of studio are clean, functioning and deliver an “on brand” experience
Customers are heard and any conflicts resolved in a timely and positive manner. Customers leave feeling positive and speaking positively about our company and our people.
All shifts are covered with well trained team members able to deliver great guest experiences
Front desk team and Energy Exchange team feel supported and heard
Events are executed on time and within the set standards

Ensuring that instructors have the tools to deliver incredible classes, connect with and inspire students to feel and BE their best, and to create a great vibe in our studio. You are passionate about leading, learning and growing. You enthusiastically educate and inspire our team in their leadership, yoga/fitness, health, and the power of consistency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage Instructors
Manage daily communication, resolve concerns
Be the primary point of communication for instructors, and between management and instructors.
Communicate studio updates to the instructors
Report to management
Plan and execute annual Instructor Professional Development(s)
Complete monthly scheduling
Support hiring, onboarding, training and mentoring, and ongoing evaluations
Ensure that the quality of the classes/teaching is in line with the expectations and the class outline.
Regularly evaluate classes, and give instructors feedback
Be familiar with, review, and create Namaste North Instructor Related SOP’s
Exemplify all Namaste North Values and be a strong example of those values in action
Complete ongoing professional development: feedback skills and conflict resolution, leadership, communication, social media
Assist with Teacher Training
Social Media Creation
Daily: the the primary contact for instructors and respond to all communications daily
Weekly:
Report to management
Communicate day to day studio updates with the instructors
Take and evaluate 3-4 classes per week
Address any studio/instructor related issues and resolve
Monthly:
Complete monthly instructor scheduling
Take and evaluate 10-15 classes
Identify need for new SOP and create when needed
Seasonal (Quarterly)
All Instructor classes have been reviewed at least once
Recommend, plan and execute Team Professional Development(s)
Annually
Complete instructor annual reviews in conjunction with management
Complete a Professional Development for each modality
Annual retraining
Review Team Lead SOP’s
Review and update Instructor and Class SOP’s
Assist with teacher trainings
RESULTS
Classes are consistent, match the class description, and meet or exceed customer expectations
Classes are well planned, effective, energetic, and inclusive
Students feel seen and known by the instructor; are welcomed, encouraged, excited to participate and thrive
Instructors have a clear understanding of their role, are meeting or exceeding expectations, and are aware of studio happenings
Instructors are learning and growing through regular feedback, trainings, professional developments and goal setting
Instructors feel well supported, are part of an engaged team, are excited to participate, learn and grow
REQUIREMENTS
Yoga/Fitness Teaching certification
5-10 years Experience teaching in their modality
Experience managing teams
Customer Service Experience
Strong Communication and Leadership Skills

You are passionate about teaching, leading, learning and growing. You enthusiastically educate and inspire others in their leadership, yoga/fitness, health, and the power of consistency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support onboarding, training and ongoing evaluations of new or developing instructors
Regularly attend mentees classes
Give verbal and written feedback to mentee and management
Offer tools, training and resources to support the growth and development of the mentee
Support management with 3 month evaluations
Ensure that the quality of the classes/teaching is in line with the expectations and the class outline.
Assist with Teacher Training(s)
Exemplify all Namaste North Values and be a strong example of those values in action
Complete ongoing professional development: feedback skills and conflict resolution, leadership, communication
RESULTS
New and/or developing teachers are well onboarded, supported and have a clear and thorough understanding of their role, the class expectations, and studio values.
Mentee receive regular feedback, tools, training, set goals and achieve them
Mentee feels confident, part of a team, excited to participate, learn and grow
Mentee are teaching classes that are consistent, match the class description, and meet or exceed customer expectations
Students feel seen and known by the instructor; are welcomed, encouraged, excited to participate and thrive.
Management receives regular reports and reviews of Mentees progress.

Operations / Facilities Manager - Position Overview
The Job: The purpose of this position is to ensure that Namaste North as a facility is maintained with excellence and as an operation is running smoothly and effectively. It means that our space feels amazing, our equipment, technology and automated communications are maintained and running well, and that our team is operating with excellence

Our Purpose: We empower people to reach their potential by providing our customers a safe space, great classes, teachers, resources, experiences, and a culture of possibility, connection and growth.
Responsibilities:
Overseeing, creating, and managing all: Namaste North standard operating procedures (organization, HR, facility, operations, health and safety),
Maintaining equipment/ technology / software, automated communication,
Facility cleaning, maintenance, improvement, including managing the energy exchange team, research and development in these areas
Supporting monthly bill payments and KPI’s.
Maintain the Namaste North Events Calendar and support events
Regular reporting to management
Requirements:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized, detail oriented, self motivated and solution orientated
Experience in facility maintenance,
Experience with team management
Experience with operations, quality control,
Experience with team coordination and communication,
Systems development, creation and execution
Has experience with google suites
Has worked with a variety of software packages and a high level of comfort/adaptability to new software/technologies
